Feel the Sherrod Difference in a Lifted Truck
With over four decades of expertise, Sherrod Customs knows a thing or two about creating the best upfitted truck for every driver. Each conversion package is designed to be exactly what a customer is looking for in a lifted truck, combining both class and aggressive style. We take your experience beyond the simple lift kit, using our private-label manufacturing techniques and proprietary, in-house design templates inspired by Jack’s military experience to craft truly unique, masterful custom trucks.
What Is Upfitting?
An upfit is a set of accessories or kits that are used to augment the function of an existing vehicle. This may include interior or exterior accessories that aim to enhance the truck to fit the driver’s unique preferences. For example, someone who works in construction may add storage accessories to their vehicle to better contain tools and items needed for the job. A driver who wants to use their truck to explore off-road trails may add a lift kit or other items that can improve the truck’s safety and capability on various terrains.
Why Customize a Truck?
Drivers customize their trucks to stand out and showcase their style. Whether it’s adding a lift to better clear off-road obstacles, getting unique wheels to show off their style, or customizing the paint, these modifications help owners express their individuality. Functionality is another big reason. Customizations such as bed liners, toolboxes, or off-road upgrades, make trucks more practical for specific tasks, including hauling or navigating tough terrain. Truck customization is about expressing personality, improving practicality, and connecting with others who share a passion for these versatile vehicles.
Personalized Customization
Before we even touch a truck, we meticulously examine it from top to bottom. This not only ensures that our conversion kit works well with the vehicle but also helps us identify any potential safety or quality issues and rectify them before they become a risk. After we’re done with a custom lift, we inspect it again before it leaves our Waycross, Georgia, location.
We have several packages to choose from to help customers get started on customizing their trucks. Certain packages are exclusive to certain truck brands, such as Ford, GMC, Chevy, and Ram, and include the following:
- ECLIPSE edition: This package includes standard upgrades such as a 6-inch custom lift, 22-inch private-labeled wheels, hydro-dipped interior accents, and blacked-out exterior features. Other optional upgrade items include tinted windows, wheel well-mounted rock lights, custom power running boards, and a safe for personal items.
- LZ-1 edition: The LZ-1 edition expands a truck’s off-road capabilities by adding items such as hi-temp red brake caliper covers, high-speed static balances, and a custom lug nut kit. Optional upgrade items include 22-inch private-labeled wheels and premium tires, a spray-in Sherrod bed liner, and hydro-dipped accent pieces.
- DEADWOOD edition: The DEADWOOD edition is still somewhat new to the custom kit lineup. It adds standard features such as custom monochromatic painted fender flares, hydro-dipped interior accent pieces, and the famed 6-inch Sherrod private labeled lift. Additional upgrade features are still in the works and are sure to enhance a truck even further.
- GENEVA edition: Focused on sleek design and luxury, this package is exclusive to Chevy trucks. With ample standard features and optional items to choose from, drivers can take their Chevy truck up a few notches.
Quality Parts
We source our parts from the best, which is one of the primary reasons we can offer warranties on our custom conversions. Not only does this give customers peace of mind navigating city streets or rugged off-road trails, but it also slows down wear and tear.
Warranty Options
Normally, modifying a truck with after-market parts after it leaves the factory results in a voided warranty, which can result in costly repairs that a warranty would’ve otherwise covered. Due to our expertise and partnerships with dealerships across the nation, we can customize a truck while still maintaining its warranty. This provides additional peace of mind for customers, knowing they won’t have to pay an arm and a leg for repairs in case something happens to their truck that’s covered under warranty.
To take advantage of this, customers can fill out our warranty registration form. Some helpful information to have on hand when completing this form includes the following:
- Owner’s full name.
- Address and email.
- Dealership information.
- Vehicle information and vehicle identification number, or VIN.
Before, during, and after installation, we ensure that trucks meet both federal highway and motor vehicle safety standards.
Dealership Collaboration
Regardless of whether it’s a Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, or Ram truck, we collaborate with various dealerships to help get customers’ truck lifts underway. We partner with a vast network of dealerships to help provide personalized warranties for our custom builds.
